FACILITY PROFILE

  • Aim for Total Nitrogen and to keep SVI < 85
  • MLE configuration w/ fixed MLR pumps
  • Each train has 4 anoxic tanks and 8 aeration tanks with DO set-point control
  • Minimum temperature 23°C
  • Maximum temperature 32°C

PROJECT NARRATIVE

A BIOS was installed in one train as a pilot project and the local power supplier (APS) paid for half of the cost under an Energy Efficiency Incentive Scheme.

  • Reduction of 15.3% was realized under BIOS control
  • Payback period for the city is less than 1 year
